It prioritizes the dissemination of relevant experiences and results in healthcare, teaching, research, and management.
Peer Review Process
The Progaleno Student Scientific Journal adheres to the unified requirements for biomedical journals of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, 5th edition, 1997 (New Engl J Med 1997; 336(4): 309-315). All rigorous research requires an impartial, independent, and critical evaluation process, which is intrinsic to the process.
All articles will be subject to a double-blind peer review system. The response time for acceptance from submission will be 48 hours. The initial response time from submission to the final decision on acceptance and editing of the article will not exceed 90 business days. By this date, the authors must receive a verdict on the use of their contribution. They must retain a copy of the materials entered into the system to reinsert the corrected version after peer review, if necessary. The final decision rests exclusively with the editorial committee.
Peer review helps the editor decide which articles are most appropriate for publication in the Revista Científico Estudiantil Progaleno, while also helping authors and the editor improve the quality of their published work. The initial review is performed by the editor; the editor then decides whether to proceed to the editorial process. The papers are then assigned to different reviewers, who then review the article through the system and may add any other elements that contribute to improving the article's quality.
The peer review system of the Scientific-Student Journal Progaleno requires independent, blind evaluation by at least two reviewers, which the journal employs in its evaluation process of contributions submitted for publication. During the peer review process, special care will be taken to adhere to established ethical standards, avoiding conflicts of interest.
The use of the knowledge acquired by the reviewers during the evaluation of the work for personal gain before publication is strictly prohibited, as is the public dissemination of research results. Materials subject to peer review may not be reproduced or discussed with anyone without the consent of the journal's editor.
The names of the referees reviewing each individual work will not be revealed, although they may be revealed collectively as a form of encouragement. The journal's Editorial Board reserves the right to reject articles it deems unsuitable for publication. Once each issue is published, authors may not suggest changes to the original version.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free access to research contributes to a greater global exchange of knowledge.
